Saint Anthony School Programs - Despite living with Down syndrome, David Bechtold works two jobs and enjoys living independently at his Squirrel Hill apartment. OnQ's Michael Bartley spends the day with David and his mom Cindy, who credits
St. Anthony School Programs for providing David with life skills.

James Fair: A Welcome Home - In November 2003, SPC James Fair was critically wounded by a bomb while serving in Iraq. His injuries included the loss of both hands and the loss of sight in both eyes. Now, with the help of Homes for Our Troops, Duquesne Light, the Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show and many others, Fair is living independently in a Ross Township home built to accommodate his special needs. OnQ contributor Harold Hayes reports.

Pittsburgh Police Motorcycle Unit: 100 Years of Service - 2010 marks the 100th anniversary of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Motorcycle Unit. They are the only police force in the United States to have ridden Harley Davidson Motorcycles for 100 consecutive years. There have been generations of families who have served as Pittsburgh motorcycle officers, and they ride year-round no matter the weather. OnQ's Chris Moore reports.

Leo J. Beachy - A Legacy Nearly Lost - In the early 1900s, photographer Leo Beachy took captivating images of life in Western Maryland, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia, but most of his glass plate negatives were destroyed in 1927. In recent years, Beachy's niece, Maxine Broadwater, recovered 2,700 negatives and is working to bring her uncle's remarkable legacy back to life.

Young's Foundry - The old foundry on the west bank of the Monongahela River once hummed with activity as turn-of-the-century machines cranked out parts for coal mines and riverboats. But when W. A. Young & Sons Foundry & Machine Shop closed its doors in 1969, it preserved an industrial heritage that exists to this day. OnQ contributor Dave Crawley steps through those doors, into the past, in a river town called Rices Landing.

Filmmakers Corner: Hernstrom & Foley - OnQ viewers get a preview of Filmmakers Corner. Host Minette Seate interviews Ben Hernstrom and screens his film Vazaha. She also speaks with Teresa Foley, a media artist and videographer on the "Locally Toned" project. Foley's films include "Flight & Fight," "Monkey Forest Tourist," "A Mano" and more.

Autism: Diagnosis, Treatment & Hope - OnQ profiles the Pittsburgh mother of a nine year old boy diagnosed with autism at age 3, and reports on two University of Pittsburgh studies aimed at helping healthcare providers diagnose autism earlier. Autism is generally not diagnosed until nearly age 3. Researchers hope their findings will allow for diagnosis as early as age one, so that younger children can access intervention services earlier.

Autism Discussion - One in 100 U.S. children may have a form of autism spectrum disorder, more than previously believed. The rate appears to be worsening, especially among boys. Dr. Nancy Minshew from the University of Pittsburgh and Dr. Scott Faber from The Children's Institute discuss research and findings. Also joining the panel: Elliot Frank and Lori McMaster of ABOARD, both parents of children with autism.

Return to Buchenwald - World War II veteran Clarence Brockman stumbled upon the largest concentration camp on German soil just after the Nazis abandoned it in 1945. The McDonald, Pennsylvania resident never thought he'd return to that horrific place, but 65 years later, he did - this time to commemorate the liberation of the prisoners. OnQ visits with Mr. Brockman before and after his emotional journey back to Buchenwald.

Fort Pitt Museum - State budget cuts forced it to close for eight months before operations were taken over by the Heinz History Center in the Strip District. Today, the newly re-opened Fort Pitt Museum has a cleaner, fresher look with life-like figures and recently added artifacts. Join OnQ's Chris Moore for a tour of this 12-thousand square foot facility which recounts Western Pennsylvania's role in the French & Indian War.

Through the Roof - OnQ gives viewers the opportunity to see a plant that blooms only once in its life cycle at Phipps Conservatory. The agave americana, a succulent native to Mexico is also known as a century plant and it is about to bloom. Its spectacular single stalk is literally growing through the roof -an average 6 to 12 inches a day and then will die once it blossoms.
