Join WQED members and staff on a two-day bus trip to Pennsylvania's most celebrated national park – Gettysburg. Bus departs WQED at 8:30 am from WQED on Saturday, May 15, 2010 and returns Sunday, May 16, 2010 around 8pm.
Your pledge includes membership to WQED; transportation by deluxe motor coach; one night's lodging; one dinner and continental breakfast; baggage handling, taxes and meal gratuities.
The trip includes Guided Tour of the Gettysburg Battlefield, Gettysburg National Military Park Visitors Center, Shriver House Museum, Diorama and a visit to the miniature pony farm.

Saturday, May 15, 2010
8:00 am Arrive at WQED, 4802 Fifth Avenue (in Oakland). Coffee and light fare will be served
8:30 am Bus Departs WQED
1:30 pm Arrive at "Field of Freedom" film at Gateway Theater. An epic 30 minute immersive drama. Witness the ferocity of the conflict as told through the diaries of actual soldiers.
2:30 pm House Museum. Dedicated to the civilian experience during The Battle of Gettysburg. Guides in period dress recount the harrowing story of the Shriver family's experiences during the battle and the lasting effects on their lives.
3:30 pm Diorama—See the battlefield in miniature. You will see the battlefield as it appeared in 1863. The Diorama contains over 20,00 hand painted soldiers, horses, soldiers and buildings.
5:00 pm Check into the Quality Inn Gettysburg Motor Lodge. 380 Steinwehr Avenue, Gettysburg PA 17325, 717-334-1103
6:00 pm Depart hotel.
6:16 pm Arrive for Dinner at the Dobbin House. Enjoy an outstanding dinner at Gettysburg's oldest and most historic house. Your group will be served by costumed wait staff.
7:30 pm General and Mrs. Ulysses S. Grant join the group after dinner for a special dining experience.
8:45 pm Return to the Quality inn Gettysburg Motor Lodge for a restful evening.

7:00 am Enjoy an expanded continental breakfast at the hotel.
8:00 am Depart hotel.
8:15 am Arrive Gettysburg National Military Park Visitor Center. Here you will get a distinctive perspective of the Civil War through the words of it's participants and spectators, including President Lincoln and Davis, Generals Mead and Lee, soldiers and correspondents and civilians.
10:00 am Battlefield Tour Check in at Visitors Center. Have a licensed battlefield tour guide board your motor coach to take your group out to the battlefield to see where the battle was fought that would change the course of American history.
12:30 pm Boyd's Bear Country, Gettysburg PA. The world's most humungous Teddy Bear Store. Lunch "ON OWN" at Boyd's Bear and enjoy some down home cooking.
2:00 pm Arrive Land of Little Horses. Enjoy the full time staff of performing animals that take the stage for guaranteed laughs! Get up close and personal with our famous namesake miniature horses.
3:30 pm Depart for Pittsburgh.
8:00 pm Arrive at WQED

15 Day trip for two to some of America's most beautiful national parks.
This trip includes transportation, lodging, some meals, guide service, some gratuity, admission to the national parks, baggage handling and taxes. Some of the parks include Badlands National Park, Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone National Park and The Grand Canyon National Park. (This sweepstakes prize courtesy of Lenzner Tour and Travel.)

2. No pledge is necessary. All calls to 1-800-232-8813, with or without a pledge DURING THE SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD AS ANNOUNCED ON-AIR are valid. In addition, any online pledges during the on-air sweepstakes period will automatically enter your name into the drawing. Any online entries via the comment page, received during the sweepstakes period will automatically enter your name into the drawing. Limit one prize per household and one entry per person. Employees and their families of WQED Multimedia or the Classical Public Radio Network are ineligible.
3. Each sweepstakes has a defined period of time for entry as announced on-air and on this website. All entries must be received within that time period.
4. Prizes cannot be substituted for their fair market cash value. If winner declines the prize, no other prize will be offered.
5. Winners will be randomly drawn by a station employee on Monday, March 22, 2010 and notified within 24 hours after that. Winning names may be posted on this website and may be announced on-air.
6. In the event of an unclaimed prize, a new name will be drawn and the winner contacted. This process will be repeated until the prize is accepted.
