Pittsburgh Symphony in the Parks
Thomas Hong conducts the PSO in Rossini's William Tell Overture, and two Tchaikovsky favorites: the Violin Concerto featuring Jeremy Black, and the 1812 Overture.

First Fridays at the Frick: Beppe Gambetta
A musician in love with both American roots music as well as the music of his native Italy, Beppe Gambetta has travelled the world to dazzle and charm acoustic guitar enthusiasts everywhere. He combines American music, Ligurian tradition, emigration songs, folk ballads, steel string guitars, and vintage harp guitars.

Hot Stuff - John Miller
In this exhibition, Miller showcases his oversized fast food including glass french fries as well as 6-foot tall martini glasses. He says, "I try to find an equilibrium between the intensity of glass blowing and the humor which can be found in art and the art-making process."

July 4th Fireworks Concert
Istvan Jaray conducts patriotic and well-know selections including Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture with howitzers from the PA Army National Guard, serving as the cue for fireworks.

Kristi Warnick, flute/Charlotte Aubrey, soprano
Warnick teaches vocal music at United Elementary School, Armagh, and is director of music at Faith Lutheran Church, New Florence. She studied flute at Indiana U. of PA. She holds a master’s degree from St. Francis University. Aubrey has sung with the Metropolitan Opera, the Baltimore Symphony and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Accompanist: Harriett Miller.

pupa: new again
Staycee Pearl Dance project's first evening length concert features works created during an incubation period that began in October, 2009. SPDP continues to play around with contemporary dance sensibilities and ideas of style, design, and cultural references. Choreographer/Artist Staycee R. Pearl and six dancers have developed works ranging in inspiration from the light-hearted to the weighty and worldly.
